The sun. 386 billion billion megawatts of energy per second. Essential to life but also deadly. The sun is your skin’s biggest enemy. Ultra-violet radiation damages  your skin’s vital structures, causing premature ageing (photoageing) and skin cancer.

The skin’s main supporting structure (collagen) is disrupted by ultraviolet (UV) light which then leads to wrinkled, rough and uneven skin. It also causes pigmentary changes and benign and malignant skin lesions (skin cancers). Protecting yourself against against the sun is therefore extremely important. And remember – these measures not only help guard against skin cancer they also help you stay younger looking! Abide by the rules – minimize sun exposure, wear sunglasses, use Sun Protection Factors (SPFs), niacinamide, antioxidants and take vitamin D supplements.
